About The Position
The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) New Parent Support Program (NPSP) Home Visitor is responsible for providing psychological and educational support to parents of children ages zero to five. This includes education in positive parenting skills, promoting healthy pregnancy, and fostering positive parent-child attachment behaviors. The Home Visitor will conduct home visits and classroom sessions, provide information on available services, and refer parents to appropriate agencies for assistance. The role also involves planning and implementing programs to enhance parenting skills, conducting assessments, and providing early intervention services to at-risk families. The Home Visitor will collaborate with local hospital professionals, maintain case records, and market the NPSP through various channels. The position requires travel for home visits and may involve a fluctuating work schedule, including weekends.
