About The Position
New Nurse Experience Summer Student Preceptorship The New Nurse Experience Student Preceptorship pairs 4th semester students with experienced Registered Nurses for hands-on clinical mentorship at Banner Health facilities. This is an unpaid, non-benefited position; school credit may be available. Our preceptorship program offers a collaborative learning environment where you'll refine nursing skills, expand knowledge, and build professional relationships. Students are placed in specialized units at Banner Health facilities for clinical mentorship by experienced staff and educators. We consider unit preferences to align with your career goals and organizational needs. Upon completing the preceptorship, some students may transition into the Banner New Nurse Experience Program as full-time Registered Nurses in the same facility and unit after licensure is obtained. Banner Health New Grad Program is an AACN PTAP accredited, evidence-based program which supports your transition from new graduate to competent, professional nurse. Requirements
- Nursing students graduating July–September 2026 only.
- Enrollment in an accredited nursing program
- Minimum GPA: 3.2
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain before rotation
- Resume & BLS certification are required.
