About The Position

This New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Co-op position, which is part of the Verizon Campus Program, will allow you to channel your drive and enthusiasm as part of a 6-month program from January 12, 2026 to June 26, 2026 working a full-time schedule. As a Co-op with the Product Engineering team, some of the projects you may work on could enhance your skills in one or more of the following areas: Infusing new capabilities into Verizon's products, utilizing API interactions with other products and services. Looking for AI-based capabilities to improve Verizon's product offerings. AR/VR. Using multiple operating systems (Linux, Solaris, and Windows). Application development: SaaS development and scripting. Back-end (e.g, Express, Flask, Ruby). Development tools and languages: NET, C, C++, J2EE. Python and Java. Front-end (e.g., React.js, Ember, and Vue). Analytics and data processing. Mobile development (Android and OS). Service APIs (e.g., microservices, RESTful services, and web services). Web development. Server, application design, engineering, and evaluations. Quality assurance, object-oriented programming, and secure software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an NJIT Bachelor's degree program in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related major.
• Expected completion date between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week from January 12, 2026 to June 26, 2026.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
• Willing and able to travel.
• Willing and able to relocate.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Internship or Co-op experience.
• Engineering major preferred.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, or Postman.
