About The Position

Our New Hope Placement Program is our proactive community initiative aimed at finding placement for some of our most vulnerable populations. To accomplish this, ACC establishes and cultivates mutually beneficial and productive relationships with a variety of animal welfare organizations that assist and partner with ACC in placing animals, many of whom may require specialized medical care or behavior training. The New Hope Team primarily focuses on animals that are less likely to be adopted from the shelter, often due to temperament or severe medical condition, or are unavailable for direct adoption. While cats, dogs and rabbits are our primary focus, the New Hope coordinators are responsible for securing placement for a magnitude of other species including local wildlife, exotic illegal pets, and farm animals. The New Hope coordinators work together seamlessly as a team and will need to handle multiple emergency placements throughout the course of the day.
