This position is for a New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) in the 5RT, Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgery department at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, which is part of Advocate Health. The role involves utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care, engaging patients and families throughout their care journey. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The RN will continuously evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, administer medications and therapies according to protocols, and demonstrate effective communication and delegation. Professional development, ethical decision-making, and accurate EHR documentation are also essential.
