About The Position

New Grad RN and Extern Programs are available, and MetroWest Medical Center is currently hiring for its Emergency Department. The position offers up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus (pay as you go), tuition reimbursement, and a generous pay and benefits package. The center is recruiting for Late 2025 and Spring 2026 graduates, inviting them to join a supportive community of clinical educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents. The new grad program emphasizes hands-on experience to develop valuable clinical and critical thinking skills for the transition from student to RN. MetroWest Medical Center is the largest community health care system between Worcester and Boston, committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive care. The 307-bed regional healthcare system includes Framingham Union Hospital, Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick, and the MetroWest Wellness Center. The New Graduate RN program features an innovative curriculum delivered through a comprehensive 12-month program, aiming to create a solid foundation for a nursing career. Nurses will have the opportunity to experience different shifts, patient populations, and unit cultures. MetroWest Medical Center has served the community since 1893 and is comprised of Framingham Union Hospital and Leonard Morse Hospital, a behavioral health specialty center. Framingham Union Hospital offers comprehensive health care services including 24-hour emergency care, advanced cardiac care, high-tech cancer treatments, and advanced maternity care. The center was recognized by the Joint Commission with a Gold Seal of Approval and its cardiac team was recognized as one of Healthgrades America’s 100 best hospitals for Coronary Intervention in 2023.

Requirements

  • Graduated from state approved school of nursing or an accredited school, or currently enrolled in nursing school with a graduation date within the next 12 months.
  • Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy.
  • CPR certification.
  • Successfully complete a background check and pre-employment health screening which includes a drug screen.
  • Show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date if mandated by applicable law. If an exemption is received, regular testing in accordance with the law will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide safe and competent patient care.
  • Assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct nursing care to assigned patients.
  • Assume responsibility for the supervision of staff to which nursing care is appropriately delegated.
