About The Position
Working at Pineville's Newest Med/Surg unit means joining a unit that offers the opportunity to grow with a new team from the ground up! Our population will consist of: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Dehydration, Diabetes, Pneumonia, Urinary tract infections (UTIs), Cellulitis, Bowel obstructions, Fall-related injuries, Short stay surgery. You name it, we see it! Caring for our medical/surgical population will provide our nursing team with a robust and diverse skillset that gives nurses confidence in any setting. We will value Shared Governance through our newly created Unit Practice Council, encourage the pursuit of Clinical Ladder Advancement, pursue professional certification, and strive to grow a strong unit culture of teamwork, commitment, integrity, and caring. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
- Delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
