About The Position

The Phillips House 22 unit is a nineteen-bed unit with single-occupancy rooms, dedicated to the care of men and women from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds with complex needs and problems. The specialty populations include benign and malignant gynecology, general surgery, and post-partum. Patients admitted to this unit require complex oncology care, which may involve chemotherapy regimens, chemotherapy desensitization, biotherapy, targeted therapy, radiation therapy, proton therapy, and palliative care, covering the illness continuum from diagnosis to control, remission, or advanced disease. The New Grad RN TPP Gyn/Oncology role is responsible for patient care, collaboration within interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring the highest standards of healthcare are maintained through skilled nursing expertise, support, and patient advocacy, all while under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position requires patient care.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Nursing required
  • Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
  • Proficient knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
  • Hospital or managed care experience 0-1 year preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and assist in treatments and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Educate patients and families on health management and post-care instructions.
  • Uphold infection control measures to ensure a safe clinical environment.
  • Respond efficiently and effectively to emergent situations, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
