About The Position

The Ahuja Medical Center Step Down Unit is a 22 bed telemetry unit which cares for cardiac, medical, surgical and neurological patients. The SDU will care for patients with CHF, pneumonia, diabetes, post CVA, patients requiring neurological care, and postoperative care for cardiac catheterization, carotid endarterectomies, post MI’s, post pace maker and defibrillator placements, sepsis and medical/surgical patients. Requirements

Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited program
An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance.
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.

Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
