Hillcrest Hospital’s 4 Southeast Unit, is a 38-bed medical/surgical unit that is chest pain accredited and provides diagnostics procedures like cardiac Cath, angioplasty, stenting, and valve repair. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers with providing exceptional care to patients from initial introduction to discharge. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills. A caregiver in this position works a day/night rotation of 7:00 a.m. -- 7:30 p.m. OR 7:00 p.m. -- 7:30 a.m.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
• Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
