About The Position

The New Grad RN Resident Operating Room position at StoneSprings Hospital Center is part of the HCA Nurse Residency Program, designed to support recent nursing graduates in their transition to professional practice. This year-long program provides hands-on experience, advanced clinical training, and mentorship from experienced nurse leaders, ensuring residents develop essential clinical and critical thinking skills in a supportive environment.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, documenting care in the patient medical record in a timely manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for therapeutic responses, intervening as necessary for unintended responses.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving them proactively.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
