Fairview Hospital’s Parkview Terrace is a 36-bed complex medical care, stroke care and epilepsy monitoring nursing unit that promotes the delivery of high-quality patient care through teamwork, communication and collaboration. As an RN on Parkview Terrace, you will participate in a residency core curriculum and provide direct nursing care, alongside a coach, in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • New grad or one year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required for acute care settings
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a residency core curriculum based on their individual learning needs.
  • Provide direct nursing care, alongside a coach, in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care activities based on the following: acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability.
  • Initiate and/or maintain interventions to assure continuity of safe/effective care for patients.
  • Respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiates action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk.
  • Seek supervision, consultation, assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
  • Comply with established hospital/department personnel policies.
  • Use communication strategies in order to achieve desirable outcomes.
  • Document in patient's medical record according to established guidelines.
