Cleveland Clinic offers experienced internal medicine physicians skilled in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult disease and conditions. No matter how common or complex your medical condition, our Internal Medicine teams work in collaboration with other Cleveland Clinic specialists to coordinate and manage your care. As an RN Resident on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off while also participating in a residency core curriculum based on your individual learning needs. Working alongside a coach, you will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills. Units and Specialty areas dedicated to this department: G81 Nephrologyentderm Urology H80 Internal Medicine/Telemetry G80 General Internal Medicine H81 Internal Medicine/Telemetry Urology/Swing A caregiver in this position works 7am – 7:30pm, OR 7:00pm – 7:30am with weekend rotations.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional Nursing (ADN or BSN)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
  • Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
  • Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
  • Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
  • Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
  • Document in patients’ medical records.
