The New Grad RN position is for recent RN graduates or those with less than one year of RN experience. Those hired as a New Grad RN will work under a licensed RN until license can be verified. In conjunction with working on this unit New Grad RNs attend Intermountain’s one-year nurse residency program. The nurse residency program supports New Grad RNs in their transition from classroom to caregiver through webinars, simulations, case studies, and in person meetings. An RN with more than one year of nursing experience is not required to attend the nurse residency program. This can include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, post-chemotherapy illness, or even end-of-life care. We also care for a full spectrum of medical issues, including diabetic complications, infectious diseases, electrolyte imbalances, gastroenterological, respiratory, cardiac, kidney, and liver complications. We care for a diverse population of patients where you will learn something new daily.
