About The Position
The HCA Nurse Residency Program at TriStar Horizon Medical Center is a comprehensive, year-long initiative designed to support new graduate nurses as they transition from academic settings to professional practice. This program emphasizes hands-on experience, allowing participants to develop essential clinical and critical thinking skills in a supportive environment. As a Resident I Graduate Nurse, you will be surrounded by a community of nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents who are committed to fostering your learning and professional growth. The program includes advanced clinical training in a specialty area, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship training with a facility preceptor, and opportunities for measurement and evaluation of skills through hands-on simulations. Additionally, you will receive mentoring from experienced nurse leaders and work collaboratively on an evidence-based practice project. In your role as an RN Resident, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental requirements and nursing standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and other members of the care team to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient conditions, performing medical procedures as ordered, administering medications, and educating patients and their families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
