Get to Know Your Team: Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit. Responsibilities This RN Residency Program offers a 20-week intensive training based in our Emergency Department. Position Details: Full-time role with varied shifts during training and transitioning to a full-time position after residency; shift discussed with management. As a part of Mountainside’s Registered Nurse Residency Program, you will successfully learn and be able to complete the following:

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
• Current valid New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Position requires fluency in English language to function in job environment appropriately

• Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes
• Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care
• Collect patient’s health data
• Analyze assessment data in determining patient problems
• Identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient
• Develop a comprehensive plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes
• Implement interventions identified in the plan of care
• Evaluate patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes
• Assist with the plan of care, evaluate, modify and coordinate care, and communicate well with other disciplines
• Delegate task to unlicensed personnel in compliance with the Board of Nursing
• Conduct discharge planning, assisting the patient/significant others to obtain knowledge about illness, injury prevention, and teaching
• Maintain confidentiality with all information
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned
