About The Position
Medical City Denton is excited to announce the New Grad RN Residency Program, which is set to begin between January 2025 and March 2025. This program is designed specifically for new graduate nurses who are eager to transition from the classroom to a clinical setting. The HCA Nurse Residency Program is a year-long initiative that provides hands-on experience, allowing participants to develop essential clinical and critical thinking skills. As a Graduate Nurse Resident, you will be part of a supportive community that includes nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents, all dedicated to fostering your growth and learning. This program emphasizes clinical application and socialization, ensuring that you are well-prepared for your role as a registered nurse. Throughout the residency, you will engage in a variety of learning experiences, including advanced clinical training in a specialty area, monthly educational sessions, and preceptorship training with a facility preceptor. You will also have opportunities to measure and evaluate your skills through hands-on simulations and receive mentoring from experienced nurse leaders. The RN Resident will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, working collaboratively with medical providers and other members of the care team. This role involves providing individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, advocating for patients and their families, and ensuring an unparalleled patient experience. In this position, you will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, performing medical procedures, documenting care, administering medications, and monitoring patient responses. You will also play a crucial role in educating patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications, ensuring that complex medical terminology is translated into understandable language. This residency program not only equips you with the necessary skills but also supports your professional development in a nurturing environment.
