This opportunity entails being under close supervision, performing routine estimating assignments requiring knowledge of basic estimating principles. Accurately projecting the cost of upcoming projects. Responsible for conceptual, definitive, man-hour, and equipment factored total installed cost estimates. Duties may also include preparing economic cost studies, cash flows, and contingency analyses. Our Indiana office is seeking a New Grad Estimator I to start in Summer 2026.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field, or in lieu of education, 4 years relevant experience with the development of cost estimates.

Nice To Haves

• College coursework or equivalent technical coursework in design drawings and specifications reading, quantity take offs and cost estimating fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes bid and design documents to perform quantity takeoffs to support labor, equipment, and material cost development.
• Estimates labor, material and equipment costs of construction based on design drawings and specifications.
• Collects construction cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Gathers and utilizes industry data/publications for estimating purposes.
• Uses estimating software to support the development of cost estimates with guidance from lead/senior estimators.
• Creates cost models for cost estimating elements.
• Supports the preparation of independent cost estimates as part of change management, claims analysis, and price negotiations.
