About The Position

The New Goods/Inventory Assistant at Goodwill Industries is responsible for overseeing the logistics of new goods, including their breakdown, distribution, and delivery to retail stores. This role involves maintaining inventory levels, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and coordinating with various departments to facilitate the shipping and receiving processes. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Requirements

• Two years' experience in shipping/receiving logistics required.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Math and computer skills, particularly with Excel spreadsheets.
• Ability to pass Goodwill road driving test utilizing a Box Truck after training.
• Ability to motivate team members and train proper use of distribution equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred supervisory and/or leading teams experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee gathering supplies and equipment for the breakdown and distribution of new goods.
• Oversee the breakdown of orders and prepare products for distribution to retail stores.
• Ensure new goods pallets are securely wrapped and labeled for each store.
• Record and monitor back stock inventory levels and store fixture inventory.
• Oversee shipping and receiving of store fixture items for retail store requests.
• Work with the Transportation Department to stage outgoing pallets efficiently and safely.
• Provide instruction to the distribution team on the distribution process.
• Occasionally deliver new goods to store locations using a Box Truck.
