At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As the manager of a small, dedicated group, you will possess knowledge of launch vehicles, space vehicles, and launch facility systems for New Glenn. This essential position supports regulatory compliance efforts on the NG program centered on safety compliance with the USSF Range Safety office. You will guide the process to secure the necessary regulatory approvals for the New Glenn launch vehicle program, specifically ground systems compliance to 91-710 requirements. To succeed in this role, you will build and sustain positive connections within the New Glenn program and with US government partners at the US Space Force and NASA. You need to take initiative in planning complex products across various technical fields. Additionally, you will develop, present, and communicate results that support government certification requests. You will lead the creation, review, and delivery of licensing materials such as system safety documents, qualification test data, and design drawings. Finally, you must demonstrate adaptability and resourcefulness to perform well in a fast-moving, dynamic setting and effectively lead a team in a dynamic environment.
