About The Position

QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a New Equipment Trainer, Senior to join our team in Andersen Air Force Base, Yigo, Guam to support our customer, Project Manager Expeditionary Energy & Sustainment Systems (PM E2S2). The New Equipment Trainer (NET) will be responsible for fielding, repair, alteration and sustainment of PM E2S2 Systems (New Equipment Trainers) coordinating, conducting, and facilitating New Equipment Training and Total Package Fielding events for the PM E2S2 Suite of products.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Army materiel management and logistics support, to include developing documentation and planning/executing the fielding and conducting New Equipment Training (NET) in support of power systems and equipment.
  • Familiarity with common mechanic tool sets and power tools.
  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
  • High School diploma required.
  • At least fifteen (15) years of direct relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct mission planning and site survey at least sixty (60) days prior to each fielding event. Present the New Materiel Introductory Brief (NMIB) in accordance with AR 770-2. Coordination must outline responsibilities for the Fielding Team and Gaining Commands, such as provision of fuel, disposal of packaging materials, etc. Site survey goal is to verify that local equipment storage, local transportation/material handling support and classroom facilities are appropriate to support fielding and NET of PM systems.
  • Validate unit authorizations and on hand assets with Property Book Officer/s to determine fielding requirements. Establish coordinated fielding schedule for all participating units.
  • During fielding, inventory material, validate Unique Item Identifier (UII) information, remove and dispose packaging materials, inspect equipment for missing, loose or damaged components. Verify that equipment is fully operational. Identify and request that the PM provide any repair parts necessary to repair equipment to a fully mission capable status. Install parts on receipt.
  • At the conclusion of NET, inspect equipment used during training for missing, loose or damaged components. Repair as necessary to return equipment to a fully mission capable status.
  • Schedule equipment issue by unit in coordination with appropriate unit Property Book Officer/s. Receive and verify each unit’s assumption of command order and delegation of authority to sign for materiel on behalf of the commander prior to issuing equipment to unit. Initiate property transfer transactions from PM E2S2 to gaining commands in the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) TPF module and confirm unit acceptance of all materiel. File transfer related documents for historical and audit readiness purpose.
  • In accordance with Government furnished shipping instructions, package and initiate shipment of excess materiel and team equipment to clear the fielding location of PM-owned materials.
  • Present refresher or full PM E2S2 NET Maintenance and/or Operator Training support to deployed Warfighters. Emphasize special procedures for operation and maintenance of equipment in austere environments per system technical manuals as appropriate for deployed location.
  • Provide technical assistance to deployed command to repair, service, and maintain all fielded equipment as necessary to ensure all systems are fully mission capable of supporting unit tactical missions.
  • Assess deployed command use of power generation, power distribution and environmental equipment and provide recommendations to host commands to configure equipment for more efficient operations.
  • Assist unit with implementing approved recommendations.
  • Complete all individual deployment medical, training and theater processing documentation and provided to PM E2S2 to support team deployment. Manage team operations in deployed area in accordance with PM E2S2 guidance and direction.
  • When new equipment is to be issued by PM E2S2, remove packaging materials, inspect and repair as necessary, inventory and issue to deployed command.
  • In accordance with Government furnished shipping instructions, package and initiate shipment of excess materiel and/or team equipment to clear the deployed location of PM-owned materials.
