About The Position

The New Employee Onboarding Coordinator at Stanford University plays a crucial role in facilitating a seamless and welcoming onboarding experience for new employees. This position is integral to the Welcome Center, where the coordinator manages various administrative and operational tasks, ensuring that new hires receive the necessary support and resources to transition smoothly into their roles. The coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for new employees, addressing their inquiries and concerns while providing essential information about the onboarding process. In this role, the coordinator will be responsible for a range of activities, including roster management, event planning, and execution. They will coordinate with HR, vendors, and stakeholders to distribute welcome gifts, handle event logistics, and produce onboarding materials. The position requires a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and effective collaboration with various departments to create a positive first impression for new hires. The coordinator must excel in customer service, organization, and multitasking, managing multiple onboarding activities simultaneously. Specific responsibilities include managing the Welcome Center roster, supporting presentations, overseeing weekly onboarding tasks, conducting reporting and data analysis, managing invoices and procurement, coordinating event logistics, providing coordinator support, facilitating documentation, and contributing to program development. This hybrid position requires onsite work at least two days a week, typically on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with occasional travel to the Stanford Campus for new hire events or meetings.
