About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plumbing Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be a professional who manages and oversees the installation of plumbing systems in commercial buildings. They are responsible for planning, organizing, and directing field employees and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and according to specifications. They also monitor progress, resolve installation conflicts, and ensure adherence to safety regulations and building codes. Responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of construction management processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in construction management in the plumbing field
• Familiarity with quality control standards in the construction industry
• Possess a valid Journeyman Plumber License in the State of Texas
• OSHA 30 minimum certification
• Thorough knowledge of plumbing systems, blueprints, specifications, and codes
• Strong technical knowledge in the plumbing industry
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to plan and schedule projects to meet deadlines
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Responsibilities

• Oversee plumbing operations; provide direct supervision and leadership to a team of plumbers and apprentices, assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure efficient workflow on job sites
• Coordinate workflow across multiple project phases. Manage site-specific scheduling and labor distribution
• Ensure work meets project specifications and codes; accurately read and interpret complex plumbing blueprints, schematics, and specifications to ensure proper installation and adherence to project requirements
• Ensure availability of plans, blueprints, materials and tools
• Proactively resolve field challenges and delays
• Review and approve project drawings and plans
• Coordinate vendor deliveries and site logistics
• Verify punch list completion and final closeout
