As a New Case Clerk at the Adams County Courthouse, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the efficient operation of the Clerk of Courts office. This position greets and assists all visitors to the Clerk of Courts office while providing excellent customer service in an efficient, professional, and dignified manner. The New Case Clerk will conduct face to face, telephone, and video appointments with defendants, review their financial circumstances, and apply guidelines set by the Court. Must be able to maintain a firm, professional demeanor when dealing with the public. The successful candidate will be able to think independently in solving work-related problems, work effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions, and establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with judges, attorneys, sureties, staff and the general public. Accuracy, attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks with ease, good time management skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality of information are essential to excel in this role.
