About The Position

The New Business Representative (NBR) position at PG&E Corporation is an entry-level role focused on customer contact, project coordination, billing, and contract preparation related to the installation of new business gas and electric facilities. This role involves working under the guidance of a Senior New Business Representative and requires a commitment to safety and compliance with company standards. The position is hybrid, allowing for both remote work and site visits within the PG&E Service Territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or equivalent education and experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in construction project management or PG&E technical service planning, or 12 months as a Hiring Hall New Business Representative.
  • Valid Class C California Driver's License by Day 1 of hire.
  • California minimum insurance coverage if using a personal car.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize public and employee safety by ensuring compliance with job designs to company and state standards.
  • Prepare field sketches and layouts for construction projects, providing accurate field data to estimators.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and cost from initiation to meter set, adjusting as necessary for changes.
  • Coordinate with various departments to define project objectives, design scope, and responsibilities.
  • Monitor project schedules and prioritize work in coordination with resource groups.
  • Schedule and conduct pre-engineering meetings, addressing potential project risks.
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and facilitate resolution of disputes.
  • Prepare contracts to ensure compliance with standards and tariffs.
  • Proactively communicate with project stakeholders and negotiate construction dates.
  • Ensure all charges under applicable tariffs are identified and secured before construction begins.
  • Maintain orderly project documentation and ensure all dependencies are met before construction starts.
