About The Position

Under the guidance and mentorship of experienced professionals, the New Business Development Account Representative at Airgas will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base. You'll be responsible for introducing our products to businesses, industrial and medical establishments, and individuals, with a strong focus on building lasting customer relationships. Conduct thorough research to identify potential customers and generate leads. Present our products to clients and tailor sales presentations to their specific needs. Build rapport and address customer objections effectively. Plan and organize work schedules to prospect, qualify, develop, and close new accounts. Collaborate with internal teams to provide solutions that meet customer requirements. Prepare sales proposals, quotes, and contracts. Stay updated on market trends and competition to maintain a competitive edge. Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally. Maintain accurate records and submit required reports. Uphold confidentiality of sensitive information. Present a professional image reflective of our company values. Identify and mobilize key customers stakeholders at all levels within targeted customers to execute profitable sales growth busigning new customers business accounts. Establishes and maintains clear and consistent lines of communication with internal departments relative to new customer developments, customer successes, customer opportunities, another customer specific information related to sales executing Utilizes all available resources to accomplish growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in common email, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle with insurance coverage.
  • Strong negotiation and selling skills.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different personalities and backgrounds.
  • Physical ability to perform essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

  • 4+ years of successful sales experience in industrial, commercial, or educational markets.
  • Knowledge of industrial, specialty, and medical gases (preferred).
