THE OPPORTUNITY: The New Business Insurance Carrier Services (ICS) Representative plays a key role in supporting the sales team by handling all carrier -facing and backend processing for prospective clients. This position is responsible for building new accounts from the ground up, including the creation of TIV (Total Insurable Value) spreadsheets, assembling submission documents, and managing the flow of information between carriers, producers, and clients. The New Business ICS Rep ensures all submissions are accurate, complete, and aligned with carrier requirements while playing a client-facing role in gathering necessary documentation and information for marketing.

Requirements

  • High School / GED
  • 1-2 years insurance industry experience or equivalent combination of education & experience

Responsibilities

  • Create and set up new client accounts in the agency management system, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation.
  • Build TIV spreadsheets and prepare complete submission packages for carrier marketing.
  • Request and organize essential documents such as current policies, loss runs, and building information from clients.
  • Communicate directly with clients and prospects to gather missing information and respond to submission-related inquiries.
  • Submit applications and supporting documentation to carriers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review all carrier quotes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with client needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team to support the timely and successful marketing of new business opportunities.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of carrier appetites, underwriting requirements, and submission preferences.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with carriers during the new business quoting process.
  • Organize and maintain records of all submissions, quotes, and correspondence in accordance with agency procedures.
