About The Position

The New Business Development Account Representative at Airgas will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base. You'll be responsible for introducing our products to businesses, industrial and medical establishments, and individuals, with a strong focus on building lasting customer relationships. Under the guidance and mentorship of experienced professionals, you will conduct thorough research to identify potential customers and generate leads, present our products to clients, and tailor sales presentations to their specific needs. You will also build rapport and address customer objections effectively, plan and organize work schedules to prospect, qualify, develop, and close new accounts, collaborate with internal teams to provide solutions that meet customer requirements, prepare sales proposals, quotes, and contracts, stay updated on market trends and competition, resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally, maintain accurate records, and uphold confidentiality of sensitive information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of successful sales experience in industrial, commercial, or educational markets.
  • Knowledge of industrial, specialty, and medical gases (preferred).
  • Proficiency in common email, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle with insurance coverage.
  • Strong negotiation and selling skills.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different personalities and backgrounds.
  • Physical ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to meet customer needs.
