About The Position

Through both formal training and direct field ministry experience, learn how to effectively carry out and manage Young Life ministry. This position requires a commitment to a growing relationship with Christ and the ability to clearly communicate the Gospel and train others accordingly. The role involves various ministry functions including spiritual development, leadership development, resource development, direct ministry, and ministry support.

Requirements

• Understand the unique issues faced by pregnant and parenting teen moms.
• Proven relational skills with both adolescents and adults.

• Proven leadership skills.
• Ability to travel as the job requires.

Responsibilities

• Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life including time for solitude, retreat, reflection, prayer, and a sincere commitment to understanding God’s Word.
• Actively participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community and lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
• Recruit, train, mobilize, and retain mentors, childcare, and other volunteers.
• Supervise and evaluate volunteers in leadership development, spiritual formation, and ministry with teen moms.
• Create an effective contact work strategy to reach teen parents and train the team on effective contact work.
• Plan and implement regular club meetings and campaigner meetings with excellence.
• Raise financial support as directed and maintain good donor care practices.
• Communicate ministry updates and progress to personal donor partners.
• Partner with area director to plan and implement a summer and school season camping strategy for YoungLives.
• Manage finances with stewardship, accountability, and transparency using mission-wide applications.
• Set yearly strategic ministry plan and initiatives to reach every kid; review them on a regular basis.
