About The Position

This position will work with the New Braunfels Day Camp Director to successfully execute T Bar M’s New Braunfels Day Camp, leading a group of summer high school and college-aged staff in the facilitation of our Day Camp program. Key Duties 1. Provide Leadership to Day Camp summer staff and Campers alongside the New Braunfels Day Camp Director Summer staff shared Director responsibilities: Train, lead, and evaluate summer staff Problem solve and interface with summer staff Oversee the development and investment in Leadership Team Year-round investment with summer staff Actively participate in staff follow up communications (email, social media, campus visits, etc.) Staff disciplinary action and correction Overnight staff recruiting: participate in fall recruiting trips, interviews, evaluation/hiring Camper shared responsibilities Problem solve/interface with campers daily during camp Actively participate in parent follow up communications (e-mail, phone, etc.) 2. Summer individual responsibilities Direct the execution of special summer programming (Team Meeting, Theme Nights, Skits) Assist in the execution of activity periods Direct, lead and oversee guys leadership covenant Teach weekly staff bible study Compile staff weekly comments and mid/post summer evaluations 3. Year-round individual responsibilities Recruiting: Participate in the hiring of the Day Camp men’s coaching staff and leadership team Assist in Day Camp recruiting at local youth groups and camp events Assist other male directors in interviewing and vetting male applicants Promote to staff via text, social media Assist in planning Day Camp programming in conjunction with New Braunfels Day Camp Director and other Camp Directors 4. Maintain an active role in additional T Bar M Camps activities (including but not limited to): Assist and/or support sponsored retreats (F/S, Leadership Retreats, etc.) Participate in all Camp Director planning and training sessions

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish fluency desired, but not required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Two years of work experience beyond college preferred
