About Graff Kia of Chesterton Graff Kia of Chesterton is part of the Graff Auto Campus in Northwest Indiana, which houses 5 brands in one location(Kia, Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet, and GMC). Position Summary As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you’ll guide customers through a modern, relationship-based buying experience—helping them find the right vehicle, understand their options, and feel confident in their decision. You’ll work leads, walk-ins, and appointments, follow a consistent process, and collaborate with management, F&I, and the BDC to deliver a world-class customer experience.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
  • Comfort with technology (CRM, email/text communication, digital retailing tools)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and Saturdays

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year automotive sales experience (or strong sales background in another industry)
  • Familiarity with CRMs (VinSolutions or similar)
  • Proven record of follow-up discipline and goal achievement

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in selecting new and pre-owned vehicles that fit their needs and budget
  • Conduct needs assessments, present vehicles, and facilitate test drives and product demonstrations
  • Provide transparent pricing, payment options, and trade-in guidance in partnership with leadership
  • Maintain strong follow-up with customers via phone, text, email, and CRM tasks
  • Log every customer interaction accurately in the CRM and follow the store’s sales process
  • Work internet leads and showroom traffic with urgency, professionalism, and accountability
  • Coordinate with the BDC to maximize appointment show rate and preparedness
  • Support deliveries, ensure customer understanding of features, and set expectations for ownership experience
  • Generate repeat and referral business through relationship-building and after-sale follow-up
  • Participate in training, product knowledge sessions, and team sales meetings
