About The Position

We are seeking a Nevada Transportation Planning Group Lead to join our team in Henderson, NV. Your role Provide leadership, direction, and technical guidance to junior staff. Coordinate workload and resources for the Nevada Planning team, collaborate with other offices nationwide, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and business unit staff. Manage projects, including developing scopes, fees, tracking budgets, and engaging with clients. Provide technical expertise and oversight on a variety of transportation planning-related projects, such as safety projects, operations programs, microsimulation and traffic operations modeling, report documentation, multimodal planning, and corridor studies. Lead effective engagement and communication with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders. Lead business development efforts and participate in the development of proposals. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with at least two years of project management and/or staff management experience.
  • Proven ability to manage individuals and teams, provide leadership, and manage project production.
  • Experience contributing to and leading proposals and business development efforts.
  • Demonstrated skills in your area(s) of expertise. These could include transportation planning, safety expertise, or traffic operations modeling.
  • Proficiency in transportation planning software and tools.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • P.E. License or AICP certification strongly desired.
