The Nevada Gold Mines Greenfield Talent Program (GTP) offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates to transition from academia to the professional mining industry. Over an 18-month period, participants will undergo comprehensive safety training, gain engineering exposure, and acquire hands-on frontline operations experience, ultimately preparing them for a technical role within the company.

  • Develop and communicate engineering plans, sequences, dumping priorities, etc. to operations and other stakeholders on site and ensure plans are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in end of month reporting for leach pad deliveries as well as other necessary regulatory reporting.
  • Work closely with the mine operations team to execute on designs and plans safely and efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering or related degree required.
  • Zero (0) to One (1) years' experience, with open pit mining preferred.
  • Experience using Vulcan, Qpit, AutoCAD, Xeras, Deswik, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • Excellent safety record with the ability to demonstrate safety leadership required.
  • Team leadership, problem solving, and excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions for extended periods of time required.
  • Ability to cross-train within the mining engineering group required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required.
