The Engineering Greenfield Talent Program (GTP) at Nevada Gold Mines offers recent graduates a structured 18-month transition from academic studies to professional practice in the mining industry. Participants will undergo comprehensive safety training, gain hands-on experience in frontline operations, and receive exposure to various business areas, ultimately preparing them for technical roles within the company.

  • Develop and communicate engineering plans, sequences, dumping priorities, etc. to operations and other stakeholders on site and ensure plans are carried out safely and efficiently
  • Assist in end of month reporting for leach pad deliveries as well as other necessary regulatory reporting
  • Work closely with the mine operations team to execute on designs and plans safely and efficiently
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering or related degree required
  • Zero (0) to One (1) years' experience Open Pit mining preferred
  • Experience using Vulcan, Qpit, AutoCAD, Xeras, Deswik, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
  • Excellent safety record with the ability to demonstrate safety leadership required
  • Team leadership, problem solving, and excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions for extended periods of time required
  • Ability to cross-train within the mining engineering group required
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
