About The Position

Neurosurgery Specialist assists the neurosurgeons in the performance of any surgical procedure working under the surgeon's direction. The Neurosurgery Specialist has an understanding of human surgical anatomy, the associated policies, procedures, and workflows associated with the surgical environment, as well as proper use of stereotactic and image guided instruments and positioning of patients. Participates with surgeon during pre-operative planning and intra-operative implementation of image guided surgery. Monitors the technical portion of the procedure to ensure safety and effectiveness. The Neurosurgery Specialist will have the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon with respect to the requirements of a neurosurgical procedure. Responsibilities

  • Assists the neurosurgeons in the performance of any surgical procedure working under the surgeon's direction.
  • Understanding of human surgical anatomy, the associated policies, procedures, and workflows associated with the surgical environment
  • Proper use of stereotactic and image guided instruments and positioning of patients.
  • Participates with surgeon during pre-operative planning and intra-operative implementation of image guided surgery.
