About The Position

MercyOne Des Moines is seeking a BC/BE fellowship trained Neurosurgeon to join our collegial Neurosurgery team. We offer competitive base salary of $1.1 million with 2-yr income guarantee, $100,000 bonus, moving allowance $15,000, CME $5000 and time off 31 days up to 35 days per year, malpractice with tail coverage, 403(b) and so much more!

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
• Fellowship training in Neurosurgery

Nice To Haves

• Experience in managing complex spine and neurovascular conditions
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly CERNER and EPIC

Responsibilities

• Manage a case mix that includes complex spine, neurovascular conditions, brain, and busy trauma service.
• Participate in two clinic days and three OR days per week.
• Handle trauma call with no elective cases or clinic while on call.
• Work with a dedicated clinic RN for each physician.
• Share call responsibilities with a 1:4 ratio, with APP taking first call.
• Assist with daily inpatient rounding alongside APPs.
