About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to provide Neurosurgery services under the supervision of Dr. Jose Valerio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating brain and spine conditions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. This position requires a strong commitment to patient education and preventive healthcare measures, as well as the ability to assist in surgical procedures and manage diagnostic tests.

Requirements

• Valid Physician Assistant license in the state of practice
• Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
• Experience working as a physician assistant or in a similar role preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with acute care settings, including clinic, emergent inpatient and outpatient settings

Responsibilities

• Provide Neurosurgery services under the supervision of Dr Jose Valerio
• Conduct physical examinations and medical histories
• Diagnose and treat brain and spine diagnosis's
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as MRIs, CTs, X-rays and laboratory tests
• Prescribe medications and other treatments
• Assist in surgical procedures, including suturing and wound care
• Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
