About The Position
DocStar Medical Partners - Job Opportunity, New Listing Facility City & State: New York Facility Type: Medical Center Provider Profession Needed: PA Specialty: Neurosurgery Start Date: 4/15/2026 End Date: 4/15/2027 Length of Assignment: 1 year plus extension Credentialing Timeframe: 120 days. This is an urgent need and expedited credentialing will be required Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8AM-5PM No required call. Optional call is available and compensated at an additional rate Patient Volume: 5 to 7 surgeries per week. Procedures: Primary focused on spine surgery at approximately 80 percent with cranial cases making up about 20 percent. Case mix spans a broad neurosurgical spectrum. The Physician Assistant will first assist in surgery and perform minor procedures including suturing wounds and wound aspirations EMR: EPIC License Needed: NY Certifications Needed: BLS Relevant Experience/Skill Set Needed: 1 year minimum experience Other additional pertinent information: APP Coverage: Evening and weekend coverage is handled by the on call APP with formal sign out provided Physician Coverage: Full time neurosurgery attending on site
