Specialty: Neurosurgery Job Type: Locum Tenens Facility Location: Lakewood, CO Service Setting: Inpatient Reason For Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Period: Mar 16, 2026 - Ongoing Shifts needed to be filled in: - Mar 16 -20 - Ongoing from May/Jun Coverage Type: Call only Call Schedule: 24 -hr call; 7a -7a Support Staff: None Required Procedures/Skills - Must have proficiency in general neurosurgery, trauma & spine. - Must have level 1 trauma center experience in the last yr, placing an EVD, placing bolts for intracranial pressure monitoring, CLEM, Performing craniectomy & craniotomy, spine, intensive care unit -refusing to join Pas to round on patients, IC mgmt of severely TBI patients & Brain Tumors. Trauma Level: I EMR: Epic Other Info: - Will undergo EMR Training: - Module (learn lessons): Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training to attend the training. - EMR Virtual (PPL) - Must complete the EMR questionnaire Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
Requirements
- Active CO License or IMLC
- BC in Neurological Surgery
- DEA (If transferred: must keep the DEA for the duration of the assignment, not just for shifts worked)
- ACLS, BLS (preferred)
- Self -Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days)
- Understand EMR training requirements
- Able to perform all required procedures
- Available for the dates detailed
