About The Position

Ochsner Health in Lake Charles currently has a FULL-TIME opportunity for a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible NEUROSURGEON to join its practice. In cooperation with other members of the department clinical staff, an Ochsner Staff Physician will provide and coordinate patient care by abiding by Ochsner's core values of Patients First, Integrity, Compassion, Inclusivity, Teamwork and Excellence. The Department of Neurosurgery is a member of the Ochsner Neuroscience Institute located in New Orleans, consistently ranked as one of the top 50 Neuroscience Centers by the U.S. News and World Report. Our department includes 19 full-time neurosurgeons (adult and pediatric), 9 Neuro-intensivists, 1 Neuroradiologist, and 43 Neurologists that are spread over our Ochsner locations throughout Louisiana.

Requirements

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Neurosurgery.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care in accordance with Ochsner's core values.
• Perform spine and cranial procedures, with an emphasis on spine procedures.
• Participate in shared call with two other surgeons.
• Utilize Globus Robot and G arm for surgical procedures.
• Mentor new surgeons.
