The Neuroscience Program Director at UF Health Central Florida is responsible for overseeing the operations and management of the Neuroscience service line. This role involves establishing high standards of care, maintaining excellent public relations, managing budgetary controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The director will utilize evidence-based medicine to enhance quality and safety in care delivery while fostering the growth and development of Neuro services in the region.

  • Direct the operations and management of the Neuroscience service line.
  • Establish and maintain high standards of care and public relations with physicians, patients, and staff.
  • Manage budgetary controls and productivity targets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards of care.
  • Utilize evidence-based medicine to achieve quality, safety, and cost-effective care delivery.
  • Select and manage professional staff within the Neuroscience department.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental professional activities and serve as a resource for staff and management.
  • Promote ongoing growth and development of Neuro services in the region.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Licensure as RN, Certified Critical Care RN (CCRN), or Advanced Practice Healthcare Professional required.
  • BCLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • 3-5 years of leadership level experience in Neuro Services.
  • Clinically experienced in administrative responsibilities and management principles.
  • Experience with ICP management and hands-on setup of EVD placement.
  • Knowledge of ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, SAH, coil/clipping, and thrombectomy pre-operative and post-operative management.
