About The Position

The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct consultative, outpatient diagnostic neuropsychological evaluations for patients presenting with a broad spectrum of medical and neurological conditions. These may include neurodegenerative diseases, movement disorders, epilepsy, stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), brain tumors, and cognitive concerns in medically complex populations (e.g., patients undergoing transplantation, cancer treatment, or presenting with autoimmune and viral conditions). In addition to general outpatient services, there are opportunities to work in specialized programs such as: Concussion Clinic Inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit Healthy Action to Benefit Independence and Thinking (HABIT®) Program Executive Medicine Neurorehabilitation The practice is primarily adult-focused, though select service areas offer the opportunity to evaluate adolescents. Academic Opportunities As part of an academic medical center, active participation in research and education is both expected and supported. The Division is proud to welcome its first APPCN postdoctoral fellow this year and maintains close collaborations with neuropsychology training programs at Mayo Clinic’s Rochester and Jacksonville campuses. Opportunities for teaching are abundant, with involvement in graduate medical education across 29 specialties at Mayo Clinic Arizona. The position includes an academic appointment through the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, with rank commensurate with experience. Team Environment The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative and collegial division, which includes: 5 full-time neuropsychologists 10 psychometrists 7 clinical health psychologists 2 licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs) The division works closely with Neurology, Neurosurgery, and other specialties, with ongoing communication and integration across all Mayo Clinic sites, including Rochester, Minnesota; Jacksonville, Florida; and the Mayo Clinic Health System in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
