About The Position

The Neuropsychologist/Assessment Psychologist position at Seattle Children's Hospital involves providing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and consultations for pediatric patients, particularly those with attention, cognitive, and learning concerns. The role includes participation in a multidisciplinary Sickle Cell team, conducting cognitive assessments, and engaging in community outreach and psychoeducation efforts. The psychologist will work closely with children who may have medical complexities and will have opportunities for program development and quality improvement.

Requirements

• PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited institution.
• Completion of an APA accredited internship in clinical psychology.
• Formal post-doctoral training in neuropsychology that meets Division 40 criteria.
• Experience in a pediatric hospital setting.
• Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Washington.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in pediatric primary care.
• Experience completing epilepsy surgery evaluations including functional MRI and mapping procedures.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Published manuscripts, book chapters, and/or scientific presentations in pediatric neuropsychology.
• Proficiency in test administration and assessment of children.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient neuropsychological evaluations for pediatric patients.
• Assess attention and learning difficulties in children.
• Provide consultations and recommendations for cognitive and school needs.
• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary Sickle Cell Clinic.
• Conduct cognitive assessments for children referred from primary care and behavioral health clinics.
• Engage in community outreach and psychoeducation efforts.
• Conduct assessments and treatment for patients in the concussion program.
• Collaborate with a psychometrist for test administration and scoring.
