About The Position
Be a part of a world-class academic health-care system at UChicago Medicine, Ingalls Memorial Hospital as a Neurophysiology Technician at our Harvey, Illinois location. In the Neuro Tech role you are under the direction of the Lead Technologist of Neurophysiology. The Neuro Tech performs all phases of EEGs including routine inpatient and outpatient EEGs; ICU and CCU tracings; cerebral death recordings; 24-hour ambulatory EEG recordings; Prolonged Video/EEG recordings; prolonged seizure recordings; tests with additional leads, or additional activations, or additional medication procedures. The Neuro Tech assists and/or performs Nerve Conduction Studies (NCV), and assists the Neurologist performing Electromyography (EMG) studies. Knows, follows and actively supports the philosophy, mission and vision of Ingalls Hospital. Adheres to all hospital policies, procedures and standards of care. Observes and adheres to all corporate compliance requirements and communicates issues as they arise to the appropriate personnel as identified in the Corporate Compliance Plan.
