About The Position

A Neurodiagnostic Specialist I performs advanced levels of neurodiagnostic monitoring (EEG, LTM- ICU and EMU, NCV, Carotids, IOM), according to facility policy and procedures. The technologist must be able to obtain quality, interpretable recordings and provide tech impression for study types within their modality of expertise. Procedures include: patient setup, electrode placement, equipment troubleshooting, and pattern recognition. Registry Eligibility as a CNIM or CLTM required to perform duties independently. Demonstrates competencies yearly, and rotates on call with the tech. team.

Requirements

• Registry in one area of expertise: American Board of Registry of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (R. EEG T., R. EP T.) or American Board of Electroneurodiagnostic Medicine (CNCT)
• At least 2 years of employment in Neurodiagnostics
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

Nice To Haves

• Registry Eligible as CLTM or CNIM
• Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Neurodiagnostic Program or Programs
• Associates Degree in related healthcare field
• 3 or more years of employment in Neurodiagnostics
