About The Position

The Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona is seeking a Neurologist with expertise in neuromuscular disease to join our practice. The Neuromuscular Division is looking for a subspecialty-trained physician who is board certified in Neurology and board certified or board eligible in Neuromuscular Medicine. Necessary skills and clinical responsibilities include neuromuscular disease care in outpatient and inpatient environments and performance and interpretation of EMG and evoked potential studies in various care environments. Expertise in single-fiber, diaphragmatic, and ultrasound-guided EMG techniques is desirable. Candidates must have strong clinical skills and have a demonstrated track record of academic success in research and education. They must also demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and capacity to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of consultants and support staff. Neuromuscular Division faculty are actively engaged in education of medical students, residents, and Clinical Neurophysiology and Neuromuscular Medicine fellows. Our environment provides rich opportunities for clinical and neurophysiological research that are enhanced by established collaborations across Mayo Clinic sites. Applicants with considerable post-fellowship experience and evidence of academic productivity in an area of clinical neuromuscular disease are preferred.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology.
  • Eligible for Arizona Medical License.
  • Strong clinical skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of academic success in research and education.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for neuromuscular diseases in outpatient and inpatient settings.
