We are seeking a dynamic, early-career neurologist with expertise in Movement Disorders to join a growing, integrated neuroscience program within a large healthcare system. Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) is a premier multi-specialty medical group made up of over 200 physicians practicing in the greater San Francisco service area. SWBMG works in partnership with Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation (SPMF), a non-profit organization providing care through its affiliation with SWBMG. Physicians collaborate to deliver patient-centered care, fostering a strong sense of teamwork. SPMF provides physicians with an administrative infrastructure, allowing physicians to focus on patient care. San Francisco is the leading financial and cultural center of Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. San Francisco is one of the top tourist destinations in the world and is renowned for its temperate weather, steep rolling hills, unique architecture, arts and culture, and fine dining. The population is very diverse and there is high demand for primary care.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. with board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
  • Fellowship training in Movement Disorders.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in clinical or translational research.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subspecialty care for patients with Parkinson’s disease and related movement
  • Opportunity to shape and grow a large movement disorders program alongside an excellent local clinical team and an extended network of neurologists and subspecialists across the system who share expertise in movement disorders.
  • Help develop a multidisciplinary movement disorders team, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech, social work, and neuropsychology, within a supportive neuroscience framework.
  • Contribute to ongoing and emerging clinical research programs, with access to and mentorship from established research programs in neuromuscular and Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Participate in program development, education, and quality initiatives across the integrated neuroscience service line.
