The Telehealth Neurologist provides specialized neurological care through remote consultation services for incarcerated adult patients within the Harris County Jail. This part-time role involves conducting virtual evaluations and managing a range of neurological conditions such as seizures, headaches, neuropathies, and movement disorders using secure video platforms. The Neurologist collaborates closely with on-site nursing staff and primary care providers to deliver timely, evidence-based recommendations that support continuity of care in a correctional environment.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine: M.D. or D.O.
• Texas Medical Board: Must hold a valid Texas license to practice medicine and be registered as a physician in the State of Texas. Must meet all credential criteria.
• Board-certified Adult Neurologist: Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Fellowship
• Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA): Must remain active throughout your employment.

• Request for leave must be submitted sixty (60) days in advance for approval to enable arrangements of schedule.
• CME consists of five (5) business days per year.
• Notice must be given sixty (60) days in advance in order to make arrangements for coverage of services.
