About The Position

Responsible for performing routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures under the direction of a physician including; extra-cranial and intra-cranial angiography vertebroplasty other spinal injections myelograms and cisternograms. Provides technical support for muscoskeletal procedures to include: discograms aspirations and therapeutic injections. Responsible for technical support of neurointerventional procedures including: tumor epistaxis and spinal lesion embolization using particulate liquid and detachable technologies. Operates required imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols. Ensures proper safety standards are met. Instructs students and residents and performs preceptor duties when necessary. Performs quality assurance checks on equipment. Assists in maintaining supply inventory. Demonstrates working knowledge of Medical Center information systems. Demonstrates knowledge of coding procedures. Learns new techniques and technology by attending lectures seminars and educational readings. In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiography required.
  • 1 year relevant experience
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree in Radiography preferred.
  • ARRT (VI) certification preferred.
