About The Position

The Allina Health Brain and Spine Institute takes a population health-based approach to patient care. From disease prevention to quaternary care to post-acute and home care, we meet patients wherever they are in their care journey. And touch points with other programs, including the Allina Health Cancer Institute, the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute and others, allow us to expand access to Whole-Person Care in the communities we serve. Key Position Details: Allina Health is looking for a Neurohospitalist to join our team! We have three large hospital campuses in the Twin Cities metro: Abbott Northwestern Hospital , South Minneapolis (Comprehensive Stroke Center) United Hospital, St. Paul (Comprehensive Stroke Center) Mercy Hospital, Coon Rapids Campus (Thrombectomy capable) Our Physicians are assigned to a main campus, with the ability to pick-up shifts across the facilities. Teleneurology is also a part of our Program. Full-Time status is a 1.0 FTE, equal to 182 shifts per year based on a 7 on and 7 off work model We boast a large, collegial team made up of highly skilled Physicians and Nurse Practitioners proving consultative services in partnership with Intensivists/Criticalists. Requirements

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required
  • BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable

  • Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
  • Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities.
  • Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
  • Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.
  • May participate in peer review and quality assurance.
